Throughout the year, we host events at the sanctuary and join local fairs and festivals — all to give our rescue animals the best chance of being seen, understood, and maybe even adopted.
These aren’t just fun days out. They’re quiet lifelines. Every question asked, every cuddle shared, every story told helps bring the right person closer to the right animal.

🧒 Children’s Day at Wigglestail
Children’s Day is a big deal here — because kindness starts young. We welcome little animal lovers to come learn, connect, and celebrate the joy of caring for rescue dogs and cats. It’s a day of muddy paws, wagging tails, and big-hearted lessons. We’ll have gentle meet-and-greets, learning moments, and ways for kids to sponsor or help animals in age-appropriate ways.

📦🐾 Food Collection for Wigglestail’s Animals 🐾📦
On Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th June, you’ll find a Wigglestail food collection point at Continente in São Bartolomeu de Messines.
🛒 Just drop by while you’re shopping — we’ll have a collection point at the exit. Dry food, wet food, dog and cat food… it all helps.

🐾 Wigglestail Adoption Fair
Come meet our adoptable dogs and chat with the team about giving a rescue pup a second chance. We’ll also be selling cozy sweaters, hoodies, keychains, and canvas bags—every purchase supports the animals at our sanctuary.

Wigglestail will be at FATACIL with a full stand and a few very good boys and girls in tow. Come meet our dogs and cats, ask questions, and learn what it really means to adopt, foster, or support a sanctuary animal. We’ll also have a few invitations to give away — stay tuned!

🌱 FAVA – Faro Vegan Festival
We’re so proud to join this compassion-led, fully vegan festival. FAVA is a celebration of ethical living, and we’ll be right there with a few rescue animals, ready to steal some hearts. There’s even a fun fair-wide game — visit us and we might win prizes!
