Kiko was one of our dogs up for adoption and was placed in a trial home in September 2025. Shortly after arriving, he was spooked and went missing from the property.
From that moment on, we never stopped looking for him. Kiko was seen many times over the following months, often in different locations. Each sighting brought renewed hope, but Kiko was an extremely fearful and skittish dog, terrified of people and impossible to secure safely despite countless efforts.
In January 2026, our worst fears were confirmed. Kiko was found on the A22 motorway. He had been hit by a car and died instantly.
Kiko had already endured a difficult life before coming into our care. He carried deep fear from past neglect, and we wanted so badly for him to finally know safety, calm, and kindness. That ending was taken from him, and we carry that loss with us.
Kiko mattered. He was loved. He is deeply missed and will always be part of the Wigglestail family.
